We believe person centered thinking is a mindset that drives all decisions within a person centered system. We believe it takes committed and courageous leaders throughout an agency to accomplish true person centered practice. PCC combines person centered practices with high-quality performance expectations. We are dedicated to supporting people who support people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Mary Lou has 37 years of experience working to support people with Intellectual and Developmental Disability Services. She has worked extensively both across and within national, state and local agency levels. Mary Lou has been a Baldrige National Examiner, was the former Chief Quality and Innovation Office for NASDDDS, and has authored the Person Centered Systems Assessment utilized by the National Center for Person Centered Practice and Systems sponsored by the U.S. Administration on Community Living and CMS (Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services). In her career, Mary Lou has provided technical assistance and consultation on the alignment of person centered practices with quality improvement in state and local administrative agencies across the United States.

Deborah Conway has dedicated her career to collaborating with teams, colleagues, individuals with disabilities and families for implementing high-quality, person-driven services. Deb has worked with government and private agencies as they evolved into person centered systems in which all a person’s aspirations are pursued.
Deb was formerly the Executive Director for Cross Plains Community Partner where she led the organization from a sheltered workshop to competitive integrated employment and a community-based model for service delivery. She believes leadership, partnership, and innovation are at the heart of change and person-centered services. Deborah’s foundation of practical, hands-on experience for implementing person centered practices involved an array of creative initiatives for enhancing self-determination, integrated employment and a more inclusive community for all.
